USB Digital Banking Center Coming to Winfield

Construction is underway for a new digital banking center in downtown Winfield, Kansas. Located at 121 W. 9th, the location will feature 24/7 customer deposit and withdrawal capabilities through a deposit taking ATM.

“It is exciting to be able to bring new technology options for consumer banking to the market,” explained Cory Helmer, Union State Bank’s Market President for Winfield and Udall. “All the traditional banking features associated with deposit and withdrawal services will remain at this location, but customers will now be able to deposit and receive access to their funds at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

Construction began in April and includes physical improvements to the current drive thru location. So far, the upgrades have created minimal interruption to normal banking activities.

“We are improving the access to the branch by providing wider lanes to accommodate larger vehicles.  The existing ATM will remain as a cash dispensing option for customers, but will have a wider approach lane.  The current night drop will be converted to a “Drop and Go” option for customers and will be checked by staff regularly throughout the day,” Helmer said.

The digital banking center’s deposit taking ATM will be Union State Bank’s second automated teller machine featuring deposit taking capabilities, but the first machine USB has placed within Cowley County.

“We have seen a shift in consumer demand for 24-7 access to banking services and we are able to leverage technology at an already busy location to provide a solution to that demand,” said Helmer. “Traditional banking, while still important, is not the only option that consumers want, and this transformation will provide that option.”

The deposit taking ATM is scheduled to be installed in May with staff available to provide on-site customer assistance as needed during the month of June.

“Union State Bank is constantly seeking avenues to improve in how we provide service for our customers. I think that customers will adapt well in utilizing the 24-7 access and convenience that the new center will provide,” said Helmer.
