Midland / Union State Bank merger information

Union State Bank

In October we announced that Docking Bancshares, Inc. parent company of Arkansas City, KS based Union State Bank, and Midland Financial Corporation, parent company of Midland National Bank headquartered in Newton, KS, had signed an agreement for Docking Bancshares, Inc. to acquire Midland Financial Corporation and its subsidiary, Midland National Bank.

We are pleased to tell you that the transaction has been approved by the regulators, and Midland National Bank is now a part of the Union State Bank family.  Midland National Bank appreciates your past business as our customer, and Union State Bank welcomes you and looks forward to serving you.

Midland National Bank’s President, Ron Lang, will remain as Market President and will be here to assist you and help with this transition.  Midland National Bank will continue to operate separately until the banking systems can be converted which is anticipated to be completed in the third quarter of 2020. In the interim, Midland National Bank will rebrand to Midland – a Division of Union State Bank. After the system conversions are completed, Midland will rebrand to the Union State Bank brand and Midland customers will have access to ten additional banking locations!

While Union State Bank may be new to you, please know that Union State Bank is not new to providing exceptional banking services to its customers. Union State Bank has a 111-year history as a respected and trusted community bank with a reputation for great customer service and unsurpassed financial strength. Like Midland National Bank, Union State Bank is deeply rooted in the communities it serves. Rest assured that you will continue to enjoy the same excellent quality of friendly banking, bolstered by local decisions by the same experienced team of bankers that you have come to know over the years.
